Christ Church Concert Series
The Christ Church Concert Series exists to provide quality performances in a historic venue, while maintaining accessibility with a freewill offering admission.
Performances are held at 7:00 p.m. at Christ Church Millwood: 809 Bishop Meade Rd., Millwood, VA.

Violet Neikirk Mezzo Soprano

Violet will be performing a special selection of songs from the musical “Orange on the Blue Ridge.”

Timur Mustakimov Piano

7:00 p.m.
Timur Mustakimov is an award-winning pianist, recently earning gold at the International Brahms Competition in Austria. His 2019 album Russian Sonatas, featuring works by Scriabin and Myaskovsky, was released on Blue Griffin, followed by a concert tour in China with Wu Promotion. He studied in Russia, earned degrees in the U.S., and is now completing an Artist Diploma at Shenandoah Conservatory.

Gabriella Pisacreta Soprano

Gabriella Pisacreta is a talented coloratura soprano currently active in the Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. area, where she regularly performs and competes. This past August, she took on the role of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with the Saluzzo Opera Academy in Italy, earning praise for her vocal agility and expressive stage presence.

The Thirteen

The Thirteen is a professional choir and orchestra known for reimagining vocal music across eras. Praised for its rich sound and precision (The Washington Post, American Record Guide), the ensemble has spent over a decade delivering powerful performances from early chant to modern premieres.

Bartholomew Lafollette & Tanya Gabrielian

Bartholomew LaFollette is an international solo cellist and chamber musician, with highlights including performances of Elgar, Dvořák, and Walton concertos with the Royal Philharmonic, City of London Sinfonia, and at Barbican Hall.
Praised by the London Times as “a pianist of powerful physical and imaginative muscle,” Tanya Gabrielian has performed worldwide, including at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Sydney Opera House. She has appeared with top ensembles like the LA Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony, and Boston Pops.

St. James Choir
April 16th, 2026

The 35-student Saint James Chapel Choir leads the School in daily chapel and twice-weekly services of Holy Eucharist. Vocal coaches and sectional rehearsals provide new singers with foundational training and give more advanced singers the opportunity to work on additional repertoire.
Choristers serve as School ambassadors, performing in concerts and services at local and regional churches and cathedrals. The Choir was invited to sing at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in NY, and in 2015, 2018, and 2023, the choir toured the United Kingdom where they sang services of Choral Evensong and concerts at the cathedrals of Winchester, Guildford, Christ Church Oxford, Bristol, Wells, Lincoln, Worcester, Canterbury, Southwark, St. Edmundsbury, and St. Mary’s Warwick and Tewkesbury Abbey. Recent domestic tours have been to New York, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Boston.

Wade Davis

Wade Davis, born in New York in 1982, began cello studies at age seven through the University of South Carolina's String Project. He trained with Dr. Robert Jesselson for eight years, winning several state competitions before graduating from the Governor's School for the Arts in 2001. He later studied with Marcy Rosen at the North Carolina School for the Arts and completed his undergraduate degree with Natalia Khoma at the College of Charleston. Wade earned a Master’s and Graduate Performance Degree in Baroque and Historical Cello from Peabody Conservatory under John Moran.
